Raffles Junior College was where I could say I spent the most memorable years of my education. During the short two years, I have developed a large and diverse group of close friends, learnt my strengths and weaknesses, achieved academic as well as non-academic success.
In class, I was the physics representative. I was Quartermaster in the Chess Club and a Section Leader for Chinese Knots as well as a member of the Song Writing group.
It was in RJC that I acquired my motivation and direction. I took part in running the administration of the inter-school Chinese Chess competition for the two years of 1993 and 1994, especially in 1994 when I was a senior and had to take over major parts of the workload.
I managed to rejuvenate a dying Chinese Knotting Section into one of the strongest sections in the club. In 1994, we held an exhibition-cum-sale of Chinese knots which was a rather big success considering the modest manpower and resources outlay and the resulting returns.
I also was a part of the group of Singapore students who were involved in the Taiwan Immersion Program, during which we met new friends and gained heaps of wonderful experiences in our enriching tour of Taiwan.
I had friends in my class SO2D who were rowdy, funny, 'serious' and sleepy; in the Chess Club who were jovial, noisy and fun loving; the Chinese Society (CLDCS) who were caring, supportive, cohesive and cheerful. We sure had a lot of good times.
Teachers: Mr Tai Thiam Hoo (Math), Mr Ernest Koh (Physics), Mr Ravindren (Economics), Ms Nai Yuen Ting (Math and Table Tennis), Mdm Lim Sooh Hoon (Chinese and CLDCS), Mr Chua Chor Huat (CT and Math), Mrs Kwek Sian Choo (Math), Mrs Jeannie Lim (Economics), Ms Audrey Tan (General Paper), Ms Tan Chui Ping (CLDCS)...
Hello to all the guys and five girls of SO2D '93-'94, I still remember you all, and wish you all the best in whatever you do. Please provide me links to your web sites if any of you manage to see this.

I was in UIUC from August 1997 to August 2000 studying Electrical Engineering. I managed to squeeze in a Computer Science minor as well. I could not finish my Master's degree due to some politial reasons that are really not in ' my control.
Due to the very flexible curriculum at UIUC, I was able to complete my Electrical Engineering degree specialising in Computer Engineering.
It was not all work and no play for me. For two years, I joined the Lion Dance troupe started by Johan Phoea, playing drums. We made quite a fair bit of money going around campus performing for Chinese shops and during cultural events.
